Customer Chronicles

January 30, 2026

Six months and six cars later, the impact of Cars for Good continues to reverberate around Australia and New Zealand. Each vehicle we donate hasn't just changed a life; it has energised our easyauto123 teams and strengthened our entire community. A rising tide lifts all boats, and by supporting those bravely facing challenges or genuinely helping others, we’re driving change for all.

Stories that stay with us

Who can forget Louie, the Brave in South Australia?

A young boy smiling

This plucky 7-year-old boy is facing a daunting future due to leukaemia and a rare infection. Cars for Good donated a 2015 Subaru Forester to Louie’s family, making this challenging time a little easier.

Over in New Zealand, Conwaye couldn’t stop smiling when he received the keys to a 2019 Haval. A rugby coach for vulnerable college boys, Conwaye and his partner were using one car to do it all: getting the boys to training, driving them to games, and supplying them with food, boots, and more. Conwaye exemplifies the spirit of Cars for Good by supporting young men and giving them a sense of purpose. Now, his task will be easier with his new vehicle.

More than just transport

Transport is not simply an everyday convenience; it can be a lifeline, literally. Last December, we donated a 2016 Honda SUV to assist a mum who escaped violence by leaving everything behind. Building her new life is a little less overwhelming, thanks to Cars for Good.

Ian is another memorable beneficiary. This ex-British Army veteran founded Eventide Sanctuary, a haven for rescued animals in Tasmania. With over 100 rescued animals to care for, Ian was struggling with the demands of his mission. Having received a 2016 Volkswagen Amarok, Ian has the workhorse he needs to keep this animal sanctuary thriving.

Supporting the grassroots

easyauto123 isn’t only giving away cars; in the past six months we’ve also provided financial support to vital grassroots charities and community groups like Backpacks for SA Kids, Penny Wise Spending Thrift Shop, mental health charity The Shaka Project, refugee group CARAD and many more as part of this initiative. (You can read all the heart-warming stories and see the full list of beneficiaries here )

A shared purpose

Cars for Good has also sparked a new kind of energy within our stores. Our teams have an extra spring in their step, constantly sharing ideas for future beneficiaries. Being part of those “presentation moments,” the happy tears, the hugs, and genuine gratitude is life-affirming for us all.

You might even notice the change when you walk into easyauto123 stores. From team members wearing Cars for Good lanyards to in-store spectacular displays and Cars for Good mirror hangers on vehicles, we’re proud to wear our hearts on our sleeves.

Driving into the future

As we build momentum, we’ll invite our customers and community partners to come along for the ride with Cars for Good. Already this initiative has struck a chord with our customers.

“This is a company that cares, that wants to make a difference and is changing the narrative around used car dealerships,” Holly H shared in a recent five-star review.

“Well done, Matt (manager) and team for all you do to make a difference in cars, but also in the community.”

Here’s to the next few months of driving change together.
